All-American Rejects is a rock band who began their stardom in 1999. The band’s discography consists of four albums, numerous EP’s, and singles. Some of their notable songs include, “Dirty Little Secret,” and “Gives You Hell.” The newest edition to their discography includes their first album in a decade, “Sandbox.” This album is making waves online and close to home. Waves that are new to Gen Z, but old to the rock genre.

The Oklahoma band has surprised their fans with backyard concerts. The performances began in California and have traveled through states Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa. The spontaneous backyard tour is far from over as Michigan is rumored to host the next gig after the millennial band’s restful hiatus.
The hashtag, “All-American Rejects,” has gone viral as fans band together to learn of the latest location. Debates on which part of the state the band should visit has caused heated debates, as those who have successfully signed up for notifications will only learn of the location an hour before the band starts. Residents of Grand Rapids, Lansing, Detroit, Traverse City, and various small cities in Michigan, are all pleading their case. Multiple videos of backyards and captions arguing for their backyard to be transformed into a venue. The band encourages users by reposting such videos and general memes that reference the tour. Fans are desperate to be a part of the iconic set as Michiganders have banned together to form Facebook groups to be notified of the location for those outside of the mile range.
Many are praising the All-American Rejects for bringing life back to rock. Others are grateful the band is taking outrageous ticket prices in their own hands by offering fans a chance to experience live music for free. Fortunately, fans who miss a chance to see the band perform can purchase the official concert tickets. The band will officially begin their North American tour on July 7, 2025.
