Reneé Rapp was thrusted into the limelight in 2021, when the series, The Sex Lives of College Girls, premiered on Max. Leighton Murray, Rapp’s character, soon became a fan favorite and Rapp’s personality attracted new viewers. Her charming and humorous nature off camera boosted her popularity in the media. The singer’s acting stardom aided in her music career as fans of the show tuned in to her first EP, Everything to Everyone. The contemporary R&B EP was released the year following Rapp’s televised appearance. Since then, the pop and R&B singer has left acting on the big screen behind to pursue her true passion for music.
Rapp did return to her acting roots in 2024 to play a character all too familiar to her in the Mean Girls musical film adaptation, reprising the role of Regina George. Before her on screen debut, the gifted singer played the infamous Regina George on Broadway in 2019. Despite the musical ending prematurely due to health concerns related to COVID, Rapp’s vocal ability made quite an impression with critics complimenting her version of “World Burn.”
The multitalented singer is currently promoting the newest addition to her discography and going viral for a witty interview with Ziwe Fumudoh. In the interview, Rapp can be seen cracking jokes and enjoying witty banter with Ziwe. The album, “Bite Me,” releases on August 1, 2025. Although the song, “ Leave Me Alone,” has been released, fans are anxiously waiting to listen to the rest of the album with Rapp sharing snippets during interviews and on social media. Tickets for the tour will be available on June 27, 2025 at 10AM local time. The tour will be a little over a month, starting in Colorado and ending in North Carolina with one stop in Canada.
