If Victorious is truly making its comeback the show wouldn’t be complete without the return of some familiar faces of Hollywood art students who made the high school feel like a full blown musical with talented and chaotic and oddly lovable students. Here’s who deserves a comeback from the main cast in order and why.
Tori Vega
Most obviously, the return of Tori Vega known as the main protagonist and lead singer would be the first person to return. She was the glue that held Hollywood arts and her friends together and was seen as the most normal one of the chaotic group of bizarre personalities. With her singing , iconic dance moves and optimism she would be an emotional anchor of the series stepping into a role as a mentor as a music teacher for young and talented students. The audience following her on her journey of stardom while trying to be a great mentor for the new generation of performers could add depth and something we never explored.
Jade
The one and only Jade is essential to being one of the returning characters to come back to Hollywood arts. No-one brought the fire and edge on the show quite like Jade did. Her mixture of sarcasm, vulnerability, and gothic aesthetic in comparison to other characters made her such a unique, fun , and relatable character to watch on screen. However, I feel like her story is unfinished. Bringing her back as a successful director would be a good direction as we know Jade to be very bossy but also ambitious and talented. Hopefully in this series we get to see the Jade we love but also another side to her we haven’t seen before.
Robbie Shapiro
Robbie’s character returning to Hollywood arts could go so many ways. Robbie is known for his awkward charm and bizarre humor along with his puppet Rex. In the reboot he could easily be seen as a viral content creator or podcaster trying to make his big break. The dynamic he has with Tori would bring a great emotional brother and sister dynamic to the new series. Another route writers could go would be making Robbie successful in his career despite his friends struggling in their careers around him. He may have been the most picked on but was the most experimental and ambitious.
Andre Harris
While was a great character and arguably the most talented and deserves more recognition in the reboot as a songwriter. I would also love to see him reconnect with Tori as I feel like they had unfinished business and had a great friendship from the start of the original series. If Andre were to return to Hollywood arts I would love to see him in a role as either as a songwriting mentor alongside Tori or for the writers to take us on the journey of him reconnecting with his passions of songwriting by returning to Hollywood Arts after facing years of writer’s block.
Beck Oliver
Beck was known in the series for being effortlessly cool and was the voice of reason to the group and had an undeniable connection with Jade. I would like to see him and Jade back on my screen reconnecting after breaking it off since high school seeing them on different Journeys becoming different people . Knowing Beck as the most grounded one of the group it would be interesting to bring him back as a struggling actor or something completely unrelated.
CAT
Cat played by Ariana Grande is unlikely to return to Hollywood Arts due to her superstar status and busy schedule with movies like the new Wicked movie coming out this November. However, if she did she would also be a vital character to the reboot as she serves as comedic relief. Cat was always very unpredictable and very bubbly and active. She was the perfect counterbalance to Jade cynicism and Tori when shes spiraling. Although we can’t have her in the series it would be great to see her children going to Hollywood Arts or Tori’s students highlighting her as a pop-star.
