Kylie Jenner has resurrected her King Kylie persona in her official musical debut on Terror Jr‘s new single “Fourth Strike”. After years of dominating the beauty world and reality television, she’s finally stepping into the realm of music under the pen name of her most iconic role, King Kylie.
On October 13, 2025, Kylie Jenner appeared as a feature vocalist on Terror Jr‘s single “Fourth Strike”. The track leans into a sultry electro-pop sound, much like what we have heard from Charli XCX , Zara Larsson, and Addison Rae. In the single, Kylie delivers a very sultry, whispered bridge before ominously closing with “King Kylie”. Could it be an indication of future song releases?

To her fans, this collaboration has been years in the making. Kylie Jenner was first linked to Terror Jr when he released his single “3 Strikes”. A track which was famously used in Kylie Cosmetics ads, along with every edit made of Kylie Jenner during her King Kylie era. During this time, many fans speculated that Kylie Jenner had secretly collaborated with Terror Jr on the track “3 strikes”. At the time she had denied any involvement in the single, but now it seems she is giving a wink back to that chapter of her life by taking an official position, as featured artist, in “Fourth Strike”.
She used this featured collaboration with Terror Jr to confirm that she is bringing back her King Kylie persona to coincide with the 10th anniversary of Kylie Cosmetics; and that a themed cosmetic line would drop on October 18th.
Reception
The reaction to Kylie Jenner’s musical debut has been aptly polarized. While on one hand, many fans have celebrated her pivot into music and the revival of her beloved and iconic King Kylie era. This is a nostalgic throwback to one of Kylie Jenner’s most memorable eras; the King Kylie era influenced so much of what we saw back then, from makeup to fashion and even music.
On the other hand, many critics have come out of the woodwork in droves to criticize this new track. Most of the critique has been against the heavy use of autotune in the single, complaining that the song was created as an aesthetic statement than to showcase Kylie’s vocal prowess. Some critics stated that the track was just a beauty ad with a beat. Personally, I believe this is too strong of a critique to give someone in the beginning of their music career (if it could even be considered one), especially to Kylie Jenner, who I believe just wanted to give a nod back to her early King Kylie era through the track.
Kylie Jenner herself had been publicly unshaped by the negative comments on her new track. She has shared reels of her children singing along to her new single and embraced the release as a part of her ever-evolving artistry.
Kylie Jenner’s Music Career?
Kylie Jenner’s move into music, especially through a collaboration rather than a full solo track, signals a cautious but ambitious experiment. Essentially through her new track, Kylie Jenner is providing her fans with a nostalgic throwback to an era of her life that solidified her early fame. This collaboration is positioned more as a one-off stunt, especially given its tie-in with the 10th anniversary of Kylie Cosmetics.
Whether “Fourth Strike” is the start of a serious musical chapter remains to be seen, only time and streaming numbers will tell. But one thing’s for sure, Kylie Jenner just added “artist” to her resume, she’s staking her claim in a new arena; and that alone carries weight in her ever-evolving artistic career.
