A remarkable gathering of artists is coming together to support wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles through a concert event titled FireAid.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, an impressive lineup of musicians will grace the stage, including Billie Eilish, Finneas, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, Jelly Roll, Joni Mitchell, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Baby, Pink, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rod Stewart, Sting, Stephen Stills, Stevie Nicks, and Tate McRae. Notably, Dave Matthews and John Mayer are set to perform together for the first time, promising a memorable collaboration for fans.
The primary goal of FireAid is to provide assistance to the Los Angeles communities that have been severely impacted by the recent wildfires, which have wreaked havoc in areas such as Pacific Palisades, Malibu, and Altadena. Proceeds from the concert will be directed to a specially created nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting recovery efforts. This organization aims to rebuild vital infrastructure, aid families who have been displaced, and promote advancements in fire prevention technologies and strategies to help mitigate the risks of future disasters.
As reported by THR, the Eaton Fire is currently 55 percent contained, while the Palisades Fire is 22 percent contained. Since the wildfires erupted on January 7, the destruction has been extensive, with over 12,000 homes, buildings, and structures lost and at least 25 lives claimed by these devastating events.
Originally scheduled for January 30 at the Intuit Dome, the concert venue has now expanded to include The Forum, thanks to the support of industry giants Live Nation, AEG, and the Azoff Company.
For those unable to attend in person, fans will have the opportunity to watch the concert live via a variety of platforms, including select AMC Theatres, Apple Music and the Apple TV App, Max, iHeartRadio, KTLA+, Netflix/Tudom, Paramount+, Prime Video, the Amazon Music Channel on Twitch, SiriusXM, Spotify, SoundCloud, Veeps, and YouTube. This extensive reach ensures that music lovers everywhere can join in this important cause while enjoying performances from some of the biggest names in the industry.
