Sirius XM debuts new pop up channel, featuring Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga is taking over SiriusXM with her own pop-up channel, Gaga Radio, leading up to her release seventh studio album, Mayhem.

Running on channel 15 through March 17 and on the SiriusXM app through April 2, the station will feature music hand-picked by Gaga, behind-the-scenes stories about the album’s creation, and classics from the artists who have inspired her, including David Bowie, Whitney Houston, Bruce Springsteen, and more.

In a preview shared by SiriusXM, Gaga revealed that Mayhem was born after her fiancé, Michael Polansky, encouraged her to make a pop record. “I didn’t realize how afraid I was to make this record,” she admitted. “I thought I didn’t have it in me, or that the music I made earlier in my career was something I had left behind. But in selecting the musicians and songs for this station, I realized all of that is still inside me—it will never leave.”

SiriusXM president and chief content officer Scott Greenstein praised Gaga’s influence on pop music and the industry, saying, “We are thrilled to give Gaga’s dedicated fanbase a closer look into the making of her long-awaited seventh album Mayhem as well as the music and experiences that have defined her as an artist.”

Mayhem drops this Friday, March 7.
