The Life of a Showgirl: 5 Easter Eggs you might have missed!

Taylor Swifts new album, The Life of a Showgirl, just released today! In a mere few hours of its release, it has already become the most streamed album of 2025. If you know anything about Taylor Swift, you know she loves giving her fans Easter Eggs with every new album. We have found 5 easter eggs in Taylor Swift’s new album The Life of a Showgirl that you might have missed!

1. Throwback to the Eras Tour!

The names for the tracks for The Life of a Showgirl are formatted to look like the stage for the Eras tour!

2. Track 2: Opalite

As we all know now, Taylor Swift recently got engaged to Travis Kelce, but what’s even sweeter is all the referenced to Travis in this album. Track 2 on the album is aptly named Opalite, if you didn’t know Opal is the birthstone for Travis’ birthstone.

3. Track 1 & the Album cover

Track 1 of the album is named The Fate of Ophelia, referencing the painting Ophelia’s Death. You don’t have to look closely to see the striking similarities between the painting and the album cover. Taylor Swift recently went on the New Heights podcast and mentioned how this album is the behind the scenes from her Eras tour. She also mentions the number 47 multiple times during the podcast. Most Swifties believe this has to do with Act 4 Scene 7 of Hamlet where Ophelia dies off screen. Did she die because of madness or was she driven to kill herself due to the trauma she endured? Could this relate to how Taylor Swift felt behind the closed curtains of the Eras tour?

4. Reputation Vault Tracks

One Swiftie noticed sparkly cracks on the cover of the new album on Apple Music, these sparkly cracks were very reminiscent of the Reputation set during the Eras tour. In this new album, Taylor Swift enlisted the help of the very same producers she used for Reputation. Many swifties believe that this will soon crack open the Reputation vault and Taylor Swift will release some of the hidden tracks from that era.

5. Charli XCX Diss Track

In 2024 Charli XCX released her sensational album BRAT, which contained a track named Sympathy Is a Knife. Many fans speculated this song was a diss track aimed at Taylor Swift and her fleeting relationship with Matt Healy. In this new album, Taylor Swift might have clapped back at Charli XCX with the track Almost Romantic. Almost Romantic has lyrics which almost directly respond to Charli XCX’s track Sympathy is a Knife.

Let us know what Easter Eggs you’ve found in this new album! Happy Listening!
