Von Miller Energizes Commanders Camp While Frankie Luvu Climbs NFL Ranks

The Washington Commanders opened training camp this week with a mix of star power and underdog grit—headlined by the addition of Von Miller and the rise of linebacker Frankie Luvu, now ranked No. 70 in the NFL’s Top 100 players.

Miller, who signed a one-year deal in the offseason, has wasted no time asserting himself. He’s already mentoring rookie Jayden Daniels and running one-on-one drills with young pass rushers. “Von’s got the juice. Even at 36, he’s moving like it’s 2016,” one teammate said after practice.

Meanwhile, Frankie Luvu continues his quiet climb into the league’s upper tier. Known for his versatility and motor, Luvu’s impact in Washington’s hybrid defensive scheme has earned league-wide respect—and his Top 100 debut only adds fuel.

If Miller can stay healthy and Luvu keeps rising, Washington may have a front-seven combo that can change games—and maybe change the tone of their entire season.
