The Fate of Ophelia
Fate of Ophelia was written by the one and only Taylor Swift. The song was released on October 3, 2025 and has been at the top of Billboard Hot 100 ever since. This is least surprising as her fanbase is very active and dedicated to supporting her music throughout the years. Her music provides her fans with releasability, vulnerability, and poetic songwriting about experiences like heartbreak, love, and growing up. She also utilizing easter eggs and clues to keep her fans interested in her music. Furthermore, her song The Fate of Ophelia references William Shakespeare tragic play “Hamlet”. It talks about a couple named Ophelia and Hamlet who can’t be together because =of familial and societal pressures. In Hamlet, Hamlet breaks things off with Ophelia cruelly and ends up killing her father. By frustration and grief due to her trying to please men all her life and never being able to confront her own needs she ends up feeling powerless and drowning herself. However, in Taylors version she is saved from that fate. Mirroring her relationship with Travis Kelce where she explains that someone dug her out of that grave of heartbreak that she was consumed by and that love conquers all despair.
Golden
Golden has become a very popular hit in the music industry since its release August 23, 2025. Originally, the song Golden came from Netflix’s animated film K-pop Demon Hunter’s movie soundtrack and was sung by a fictional K-Pop Group called the HUNTrx. . The song itself for the film was meant to help the characters known as demon hunters to help protect their world and defeat the demons. In real life, the song became popular due to its catchy melody and relatable lyrics about overcoming hardship and feeling misunderstood, and navigating personal struggle resonating with the fans which led for the song trending on Tik-Tok and gaming platforms such as Roblox with fans re-creating the costumes, singing the lyrics, and using the dance.
Ordinary
Ordinary was released February 7th, 2025 by Alex Warren a multi-talented creator: a content creator, YouTuber, and songwriter who actively shares his journey with a dedicated fanbase. Ordinary was written to express his love and connection for his partner Kouvr Annon about finding a passionate and extraordinary love that transformed his life from dull and mundane to something beautiful.
