Missouri star running back Ahmad Hardy is not expected to be available for the start of the season as he has yet to practice with the Tigers, according to sources who spoke with ESPN’s Pete Thamel on Saturday. Hardy is reportedly eyeing a mid-September return to the field.
The absence of Hardy, a key player for the Mizzou offense, will be a significant blow in the early part of the season. His continued recovery from an undisclosed issue means the team will need to rely on other running backs to carry the load.
Further updates on Hardy’s progress are anticipated as the season progresses.
