One of Netflix’s highest profile original movie franchises, Enola Holmes starring Millie Bobby Brown, returned for a third installment last week, drawing 20.3 million views in its first five days on the service, which included the Fourth of July holiday. That is an OK but not impressive start given the popularity of the IP and the star power of Millie Bobby Brown. While the film’s performance is not a cause for immediate concern, it suggests that the franchise may be hitting a plateau in terms of audience growth. Further analysis will be needed to determine the long-term impact of these viewership numbers on the future of the Enola Holmes series on Netflix.
