Kathy Griffin Claims Tonight Show Ban Amid Conor McGregor Controversy

Kathy Griffin has publicly stated she has been banned from The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, taking to Instagram on Tuesday to voice her claim. The comedian’s announcement comes shortly after Fallon hosted UFC fighter Conor McGregor on his show.

Griffin did not hold back in her criticism, specifically calling out Fallon for featuring McGregor. This decision by Fallon to host McGregor is particularly contentious given that McGregor was found liable in a 2024 sexual assault case and subsequently ordered to pay $257,000 to a woman who accused him of rape.

The comedian expressed her disappointment and frustration, implying a perceived hypocrisy or lack of judgment in inviting McGregor onto a mainstream entertainment program given the serious allegations and legal findings against him. Griffin’s statement suggests a broader commentary on industry practices and the platforms afforded to public figures with documented histories of misconduct.
