During a recent appearance on “The Maverick Approach”, Tichina Arnold opened up about what things were really like behind the scenes during her early years on Martin.
Arnold revealed that her original contract only guaranteed her seven out of every 13 episodes. When she wasn’t featured, the money allocated for her salary would instead be used toward bringing in guest stars.
She also recalled not always knowing when she wouldn’t be appearing. Sometimes, it wasn’t until scripts were passed out at the trailers and she didn’t receive one that she realized she wasn’t in the episode — an experience she described as “pretty humiliating.”
