Director Yeon Sang Ho is set to delve back into the popular “Parasyte” universe with a brand-new live-action series titled “Parasyte: Tamiya.” The upcoming Netflix production, slated for a 2027 release, will star Shioli Kutsuna in a leading role.
This new venture marks a significant collaboration between Netflix and Yeon, who has previously worked with the streaming giant on successful projects like “Hellbound” and “Parasyte: The Grey.” For “Parasyte: Tamiya,” Yeon has taken on a central role in development and co-wrote the script alongside Ryu Yong-jae.
The series is being produced by Wowpoint, the same production company that backed Yeon’s earlier works. Further details regarding the plot and the full cast are expected to be announced in the coming months as production progresses.
